I decided on a night away at Lacock, Wiltshire, for the OH’s birthday recently. Apart from the idiosyncratic Abbey and quaintly period village, the Fox Talbot museum offered photographic interest, so it seemed like a good choice of venue. Topped that off with dinner, a night in the rather grandiose Brunel bed (see pictures below) and a fulsome breakfast at the Sign of the Angel, and it made a nice little break.
